Star Crochet Pattern.
Star Crochet Pattern is one of my free applique patterns for beginners. It is relatively easy and I included the pictures of every step to guide you through the process. Star Crochet applique patterns are a great way to create holiday decorations such as July 4th or any patriotic or Christmas theme.

Recommended yarn: medium weight or worsted weight (weight category #4). I used Red Heart Super Saver. Recommended crochet hook: I9/5.5 mm or J10/6.00 mm Stitches and abbreviations used: CH - chain, SC - single crochet, DC - double crochet, slip stitch.
The
approximate size of a finished Star Crochet Applique is 2in (almost 5
cm). You can make it smaller using smaller then recommended size crochet
hook.
The Star starts from the center.
Step 1. CH 3 (make a chain of 3 stitches).
Step 2. Join the chain in a ring with a slip stitch. CH 1 (make one chain stitch).
Step 3. SC and DC in the ring. (Make a single crochet stitch in the ring and then make a double crochet stitch in the ring).
Step 4. CH 2. (Make a chain of 2 stitches on a top of DC).
Step 5. Make a slip stitch in the second stitch of the CH 2 from the previous step or in the top of the DC.
Step 6. SC in the ring.
Step 7. DC in the ring.
Step 8. CH 2.
Step 9. Slip stitch in the second from the hook stitch or in the top of the DC stitch.
Step 10. SC in the ring.
Repeat Steps 7-10 three more times. The last stitch: instead of Step 10 (SC) make a slip stitch to join.
The Crochet Star Applique is ready! :)
