coral and jellyfish crochet appliques

Recommended weight yarn: Medium to worsted weight (weight category #4) I used Red Heart Super Saver .

Recommended crochet hook size: I 9 (5.5 mm) to J 10 (6.00 mm)

Abbreviations and stitches used:

CH - chain, SC - single crochet, DC - double crochet.

Sea Creations crochet appliques approximate sizes if you use recommended yarn weight and crochet hook size:

Starfish: 3 1/2 in by 3 1/2 in (9cm by 9 cm)

Jellyfish: 3 in by 5 in (7.5 cm by 13 cm)

Coral: it is free form - you can make it any size and any shape combining chain stitches and slip stitches in any way you wish. In my case the long coral branch is 3 1/2 in by 2 in (9 cm by 5 cm) and the short branch is 3 in by 3 in (7.5 cm by 7.5 cm).

Note: If you use thinner yarn and smaller size crochet hook you can make crochet appliques for Sea Creations smaller.
